Everyone has a hobby. Hobbies are things that people do in their free time for fun and relaxation, but have you ever thought that a hobby can pay your bills? The most famous side hustles are dropshipping and freelancing, and everyone is stuck to that, but there are also some weird and fun hobbies that can actually earn money.

I tried some myself, but some failed, and I thought some I could earn money, and today I am sharing with you guys some of my hobbies that are not that much popular but earn profit.

1. Bookbinding (Customized Journals and Notebooks )

Binding is a creative, relaxing hobby that you can do to earn money. By making some fancy homemade journals that are used in boutiques,

  • How to Start: Buy basic tools ( glue, paper, thread ), you can learn them from YouTube, and practice them.
  • How to Earn: Sell on Etsy, at Local craft fairs, or take custom orders.
  • What People Pay: $20 to $100 per journal ( luxury design sells higher ).

I also tried this last year, and my vintage-style notebooks sold out in weeks!

2. Drone Photography ( Sell Stunning Style )

It is best for a photographer. Who loves photography now that the help of drones has enhanced the photograph? The photography is now enhanced and there are a lot of new cameras, like drones or DSLR

  • How to Start: Get an affordable drone, practice in open spaces.
  • How to Earn: Sell your photos on different websites like Shutterstock
  • Earning: $50 TO $100 per gig

My friend made up to $1,200 in a month just selling drone shots of beaches!

3. Mushroom Farming (Yes, Really)

This is best for those who love farming. Mushroom farming is one of the biggest earning food farming. Growing gourmet mushrooms like oyster or shiitake, they are easier to grow and very famous among people, and their demand is high among Chinese restaurants that make Chinese food.

  • How to Start: Buy a mushroom growing kit, learn online how to grow them
  • How to Earn: Sell to local cafes, Farmers’ markets, or health stores.
  • Profit: $10 to $30 per pound, high demand.

4. Voice Acting ( For Cartoons, Ads )

If you have a unique voice, then this opportunity is for you. Companies need voiceovers for commercials, YouTube videos, and even for game videos

  • How to start: Use free apps to practice, record a demo on Fiverr or Upwork
  • How to Earn: Offer gigs on freelance websites or join casting calls.

There is a guy that I know who does cartoon voiceovers from home, no need for a fancy studio.
